‘When I was thinking of something 10cm to make for the exhibition I immediately thought of fairies, a little dark but I imagined how people would want to catch it in this day and age and take its life so they can own it as a trophy, hence the trophy mount.’

Tamsin Gifford is a ceramicist and artist based in Portugal. Originally from the south west of the UK. Tamsin graduated from Bath Spa University in 2007, specialising in 3D design and Ceramics. Mainly working with hand building techniques, giving the possibility of organic form. Tamsin also enjoys the formality of mold making and slip casting. Continually inspired by nature and the freedom of mark making.

A cabeça de Oberon é montada em uma única folha larga, verde profundo e ligeiramente enrolada nas bordas. As suas feições são afiadas e soberanas, o derradeiro troféu para qualquer amante de Shakespeare. "Quando estava a pensar em algo de 10 cm para fazer para a exposição, pensei imediatamente em fadas, um pouco escuras, mas imaginei como as pessoas iriam querer apanhá-las nos dias de hoje e tirar a vida para que possam possuí-la como um troféu, daí o monte do troféu."

Tamsin Gifford é ceramista e artista radicada em Portugal. Natural do sudoeste do Reino Unido. Tamsin formou-se na Bath Spa University em 2007, especializando-se em design 3D e cerâmica. Trabalhando principalmente com técnicas de construção manual, dando a possibilidade de forma orgânica. Tamsin também gosta da formalidade de fabricação de moldes e fundição deslizante. Continuamente inspirada pela natureza e pela liberdade de marcar.
