Linocut, 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm, 2025, €50

This linocut depicts a close-up image of a majestic eagle based on illustrations from the artist's newly released book. The linocut is a playful take on the ironic nature of art imitating life by the unthinkable caging of such a powerful bird, within the caged gallery space of this project that takes the artwork to new adventures overseas. RW Taylor is an alumnus of Leeds Arts University and member of the Leeds Print Workshop. The artist finds registration printing, to be particularly effective for their child friendly artwork, with the actual lino cutting and bold physical printing giving the work a tactile feel which informs the final design.

Este linóleogravura retrata uma imagem em grande plano de uma águia majestosa baseada em ilustrações do livro recém-lançado do artista. O linóleogravura é uma abordagem lúdica sobre a natureza irónica da arte imitando a vida pela gaiola impensável de um pássaro tão poderoso, dentro do espaço de galeria enjaulada deste projeto que leva a obra de arte a novas aventuras no estrangeiro. RW Taylor é ex-aluno da Leeds Arts University e membro do Leeds Print Workshop. O artista considera a impressão de registo particularmente eficaz para a sua obra de arte amiga da criança, com o corte linóleo real e a impressão física arrojada a darem à obra uma sensação tátil que informa o design final.
