Embroiderer and wordsmith Catherine Hill is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist. Using cloth and thread, she documents her memories and Lancashire's social history. Her work appears in numerous publications and has been exhibited across the UK and the world; she has work in a permanent collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. ‘Memory forms the seeds of ideas in my mind, and with each, a new artwork slowly grows. Objects in this series at one time or another were part of my childhood and each one holds so many special memories for me.’
