A escultura TV faz parte de uma coleção de várias peças inspiradas no quotidiano e na natureza dando forma a objetos e animais através de uma linguagem surrealista.
A dupla de artistas visuais Portuguesas Time For The Oniric é constituída por Micaela Guedes e Carina Prazeres, nascidas em 1997. Inspiradas pelo surrealismo, abordam na obra temas atuais e perturbadores em cenários distópicos que desenvolvem conceitos subconscientes e metafísicos carregando a obra de símbolos e metáforas. Desde que se conheceram, em 2017, na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Micaela e Carina conectaram-se e fundiram a sua prática artística num único universo estético.
Numa expressão autêntica e satírica, Time For The Oniric estende a sua criação a diferentes formatos e escalas, desde pintura mural, sobre tela ou outros suportes, nomeadamente com a utilização de materiais reciclados tal como na escultura e na instalação.
The television sculpture is part of a collection of several pieces inspired by everyday life and nature, giving shape to objects and animals through a surrealist language.
The Portuguese visual artist duo Time For The Oniric consists of Micaela Guedes and Carina Prazeres. Inspired by surrealism, they address in the work current and disturbing themes in dystopian scenarios that develop subconscious and metaphysical concepts carrying the work of symbols and metaphors. Since they met in 2017 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Micaela and Carina have connected and merged their artistic practice into a single aesthetic universe.
In an authentic and satirical expression, Time For The Oniric extends its creation to different formats and scales, from mural painting, on canvas or other media, namely with the use of recycled materials such as in sculpture and installation.
